GHS Parents
I just wanted to inform you about a situation that took place at Globe High School this morning. A student was reported to be carrying an orange toy gun. GHS went into lockdown at that time. Our School Resource Officer and high school staff searched for the student and the object of interest during the lockdown. The student and object were located. Lockdown has been lifted, and GHS is back on its normal schedule.
For all parents and guardians. Please help us keep our schools safe by monitoring what your students bring to school. Even toy or fake weapons can create dangerous situations in the school setting. We at GUSD are working hard to keep all of your students out of risk, and we value your support in this effort.
Special thanks to GHS staff and Officer Verdugo for handling this situation with caution and expediency.
