Welcome to Copper Rim Elementary.
My name is Brian Peace and I am the Principal of Copper Rim Elementary. I have the wonderful opportunity to lead Copper Rim as an administrator for the past 14 years. Not only that I was once a second-grade teacher here and attended Copper Rim as a student! I am a proud graduate of Globe High School.
Growing up I had several family members who worked in education in various capacities. I knew from an early age that I wanted to work in education. So, after graduating from Globe High School, I went to Northern Arizona University to get my bachelors degree in elementary education. While living in Flagstaff I got my first job in education as a bus driver and had a blast driving a bus in the snow and getting to know my students. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I returned to Globe and taught second grade at Copper Rim Elementary. Then the big city called and I moved to Mesa where I taught 5th and 6th grades. While living in Mesa I received my Master’s degree in educational leadership. Then in 2010 I returned to Copper Rim as the Assistant Principal and became the Principal in 2013.
I firmly believe in our vision of Capturing Hearts, Empowering Minds. My goal is to have a welcoming campus where students know we care about them. Once students know we care, then we can teach them. You are always more than welcome to get in contact with me if you have any questions or concerns. I want all our Copper Rim Tigers to grow and one day become one of the 1000’s of GHS alumni who have gone on and done great things in our community, country and world!
